"...that country where it is always turning late in the year. That country where the hills are fog and the rivers are mist; where noons go quickly, dusks and twilights linger, and midnights stay. That country composed in the main of cellars, sub-cellars, coal-bins, closets, attics, and pantries faced away from the sun. That country whose people are autumn people, thinking only autumn thoughts. Whose people passing at night on the empty walks sound like rain..." - Ray Bradbury, The October Country
"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." - George Eliot
Welcome to Autumn Addicts, the community for those who look forward to autumn all year long and relish every second of it when it finally comes around! For those who savor the smells of crisp air, woodsmoke, and wet leaves, and the tastes of corn on the cob, apple cider, and pumpkin pie. For those who cherish the cooler weather and the chance to wear sweaters, jackets, and scarves. For those who feel more alive on Halloween night than any other night of the year. For those who love leaf piles, hay rides, acorns, jack o' lanterns, candy apples, foggy nights, and the plethora of wonderful things that only autumn can bring.
If you're addicted to autumn, feel free to join, participate, and share anything you'd like that has to do with the season. Whether it's stories, memories, pictures, crafts, projects, tips, anything! Discuss Halloween and Thanksgiving plans, share your best apple pie recipe, show off the pumpkins you've grown or the jack o' lanterns you've carved, post song lyrics or quotes that remind you of fall, or just talk about how much you love the season. Anything goes as long as it pertains to autumn!
The only things I ask are that you only promote communities that are in some way related to autumn or Halloween or Thanksgiving, be respectful and nice towards other members (no flame wars, please!), and put posts with lots of pictures behind an lj-cut. Besides that and most importantly, just have fun!
